Anita Nittler
Anita is a Council Grove native and a proud graduate of Council Grove High School, Class of 1978. She jumped right into the working world at age 16 and hasn’t stopped since. She moved from Council Grove in 1981, living in Hiawatha, KS, for six years, then made her way to Cottonwood Falls and Strong City for another five years. She returned to Council Grove and Morris County in 1993 and has been here ever since. The Flint Hills and small-town living will always be her home.
Most of Anita’s career has been in the food service industry and retail. She managed Pizza Huts in Council Grove and Strong City for a total of 15 years. The grocery business was her next move—working as a department manager for 10 years and as a store manager for seven years (five years in Council Grove and two years in Manhattan). Anita also worked in the Morris County Appraiser’s Office for 2½ years as a data collector, which sparked her interest in the real estate world. In 2016, she earned her real estate license, first working with Tracy Jones Realty in Herington, KS, then becoming part of the Lakeside Properties team in 2019.
Being part of the public workforce has been a bonus, as she has made many friends and connections along the way—something that has carried over into her real estate sales. Anita enjoys assisting her clients, whether buying or selling, and has experience in residential, farm, and commercial properties.
Anita likes to spend her spare time with family and friends—whether it’s going to the grandkids’ activities, enjoying the local lakes, or being a little crazy and road-tripping to concerts. Life is short, so we need to enjoy it while we can!
